Are my son's civil rights being violated?

37 year old man with intermittent explosive disorder. Had done well several years on Lexapro but lost sleep for several days because distraught over wife leaving him to live with another man. Became irrational, threatened suicide. 6-8 hour stand-off with police then willingly went in friend's vehicle to hospital for drug testing where he was given an anti-anxiety medication.and then on to mental hospital where he was told he would talk to a counselor. At mental hospital he was upset when attendant tried to admit as he had lawyer appointment he wished to keep and was scheduled in 3 days for a reversal of a colostomy. Too many meds, no sleep and agitation brought on an explosive rage episode. Police were called. Sometime in the fracas he threw contents of colostomy bag. (faces charges for this incident which he does not recall.) He was tazored, drugged. Mental hospital refused to keep him. Judge made court order and he was sent to intake area of State Prison system for "safe-keeping." A day later normal state of mind returned but he was not given Lexapro and was given Cumiden with no required blood tests. No supplies for his colostomy. In 6 by 9 cell for 3 weeks then told classification complete and tranferred to another prison where in dormitory with general prison population. If well enough to be housed with inmates who may be dangerous, should be well enough to leave prison as has not been convicted or as yet charged with any crime.
