Hormones can affect each person differently. If you have severe mood swings or thoughts of suicide while on the birth control pill then taking the Depo shots will most likely increase these symptoms. I cannot take hormones at all because of severe mood and emotional reactions. You should speak to your doctor about it. Best of luck!

I would stop taking the depo provera shot if I was use, and use other forms of contraception, This birth control shot is associated with mood swings which may continue while you take the shot
