During an attack it is important to focus your efforts on regaining your calm composure. This can be very difficult depending on the severity of the attach.
Some ways to help are:
1. Take deep breaths. Take more than one and dont worry about counting. The idea is to focus on your breathing and not the anxiety. Learn diaphramatic breathing.
2. Focus on pleasant thoughts such as things that make you happy. This helps reduce the level and duration of anxiety attacks.
3. learn different relaxing techniques such as meditation, diaphramatic breathing, and other relaxation technicians that you can use during an attack.
