I am a female of 37 years old, is it normal to have a pulse rate of 107

From the 10/08/09 to 08/09/09 I had a very heavy period with lots of big blood clots, recently I have been diagnosed with amaemia, and pre-diabetes, I am also taking medication for insonia and anxiety, cholestrol, and iron tablets 3 times a day. My pulse rate is 107, is this normal?

A normal pulse is anywhere from 60-100. Emotional stress, fear, anxiety, nervousness, certain medications, fever and anemia can causes the heart rate to go higher than normal. You're going to have to learn to relax, take a deep breath and just calm down. Change your diet to reduce sugar levels and your cholestrol under control. Stop worrying so much and try and develop a PMA (positive mental attitude). Nuts (pecans, walnuts and almonds are a good way to start and not in a Snickers) Take long walks to ease the tension and add in some aerobic exercise.

You have mentioned several medical conditions including anxiety that can cause the heart rate to increase..A heart rate greated than 100 is considered "Tachycardia)..This is simply an increase of the heart rate..Now, you mention that your rate is 107...The heart rate will always flucuate depending on what one is doing at the time....I doubt that your heart rate is sustained at 107...Stress can certainly be culprit....When you are sitting and watching TV or in a more relaxed state, take your pulse then..I think that you may find that it is probably not as high...Having said this, if this is something that is worrying you, you may want to mention this to your physician...The one thing to keep in mind is that this is NOT unusual...We see this all the time...Unless you have a Heart Condition, I would not let this way to heavily on your mind.....Peace of mind is most often the best medicine...Let you physician know about this just to give you the peace of mind that you need..You certainly do not need added stress...I hope this was helpful...Please, keep us post..Good Luck to you and God Bless.
