With mutiple disabilitys. like she has she would really have a better then good chance for disability, from ss, she needs to get this done, because this is what we pay ss, taxes for , when we cant work , we need help, go to the social secuity web site and check on how to procide, but if i were you , id get all of her medical records, and get a good ss, lawyer, and get started. she more then qualify s but dont say she gets denied jobs , its she cant work because of her condition

I personally have Bipolar Disorder. I personally never had an issue getting a job; it was keeping the job that was the issue. Sometime I could keep it for 6 months, sometimes a few years, but never longer than that. This has caused some severe financial issues with me and my family. Regardless if I am medicated (which to this day I haven't had any luck with getting the right medications) and no matter how hard I try, I usually end up quitting the job (usually without finding another one first). I did apply for SSI, but was denied. Usually, they deny you the first time. But, I never applied again because I would rather try to work and not depend on SSI or the government. I would give it a try. If they deny you the first time, don't worry, it happens with everyone. Apply a second time and see what happens. I wish the best for you and your wife. Also, the best advice I can give is to be as supportive as possible, even when it seems too hard to do so.

From the sounds of it, your wife does qualify for social security. From personal experience, it's best to get a social worker on her case from the start. She may still be denied benefits with her first application, but social security denies almost all first time applicants.

While I applied for social security for different reasons from your wife, a website that really helped me at the start of the process is www.disabilitysecrets.com ...their FAQ's answered all the questions I had and I was able to email someone for further explanations and assistance.

Even if she gets denied the first time, don't give up! Good luck to you and your wife!
