Lexapro has literally changed my life. I'm on a very low dose just to treat the anxiety - 10mg. It is a very strong anti-anxiety/anti-depressant but the only one I could tolerate (the rest made my heart race.) I have NO anxiety any more and my adrenal gland is thanking me profusely. My sister told me yesterday that they have FINALLY come out with a generic too because it is REALLY expensive if you don't have insurance.

If you just need a quick fix for now, try Rescue Remedy by Bach. http://www.rescueremedy.com/ I bought mine at the local health food store. It really does help!

I could tell you all about breathing exercises, etc. (which do help) but it sounds like you need long-term help?

Please check into Lexapro as I really can't tell you how much it has helped me and seriously changed my life.

I wish you the best of luck! Trust me, I know what it's like to deal with anxiety!

Hello Poornimadevi....Without knowing your medical history, I can only make some assumptive suggestions to you...You state that you are "healthy"..However, something is causing this anxiety..You really need to find the root cause of this anxiety . Yes, we can give patients anti-anxiety medications, however, it is always better to try and find out what brings on this anxiety..Is there a particular time of day that it is worse? What are your symptoms with the anxiety? These are things that a physician usually wants to know prior to prescribing medications..Often times a patient will need some type of medication, however, if we can find out what is causing the problem, it certainly helps in treatment...I hope this was abit helpful...Please, post again if you have further questions or concerns...Good Luck to you and God Bless You..

To me, anxiety is being overwhelmed with fear of something or someone.Stop running away and face your fears head on. Once you face that fear anxiety will disappear.
